It was a real pleasure to be asked to take part in the inaugural festival in twenty twenty one. It was held at Hopefields in Wolviston on a sunny Saturday and was a small and rustic affair.
I had offered to do a workshop which was called ‘Tea, smudge, and me’. It combined my love of writing with foraging and showed how cathartic and healing these activities can be. Hosted in a stable block, with a plastic set of draws for a table and the beautiful souls who attended sat and perched where they could, some even standing outside. The time just flew, as did the tears when i read the words written just the night before. It was the realisation that recovery comes in so many different forms and ink on paper is just one very powerful way to achieve that.
This time around my workshop will be called ‘ Abundance is just a thought away’ and will look at how manifestation and vision boards work. This will be coupled with motivational stones for meditation and positive belief stepping stones. Might see you there.
So here we are in twenty twenty two and WOW is returning once more and from those humble beginnings is really expanding into something that will just grow and grow. I am sure. It has changed venue and is now being hosted at Sentry Circle in Northallerton, North Yorkshire on the 11th of June. Tickets are available to book and if you are quick, there may still be camping spaces left too.
The event is raising money for TRAC UK . They are a charity who help women in recovery to stay well. They support women from all parts of the UK too and really do amazing work, Check them out here http://tracuk.uk/
There are so many workshops and other activities taking place on the Saturday, so why not come and join us. Share with your friends and let’s join together in supporting Women’s Only Wellness or WOW for short.
